We all know, but not all follow, the whole change your password after x amount of days or per month rule. Well, for people using Steam’s forums, change tera gold your passwords as soon as possible. In case you missed it, the Steam forums were recently hacked.

Not only did they use this to deface the forums, but so far the Valve team is unsure if the people who hacked the forums made off with personal information, but they are investigating it just in case. So if you use steam, be sure to check your credit card statements for any false charges, and change your passwords as soon as possible.

Gabe Newell sent out a IM to all Steam users about the event, if you didn’t get it/missed it, here is a copy:

Dear Steam Users and Steam Forum Users,

Our Steam forums were defaced on the evening of Sunday, November 6. We began investigating and found that the intrusion goes beyond the Steam forums.

We learned that intruders obtained access to a Steam database in addition to the forums. This database contained information including user names, hashed and salted passwords, game purchases, email addresses, billing addresses and encrypted credit card information. We do not have evidence that encrypted credit card numbers or personally identifying information were taken by the intruders, or that the protection on credit card numbers or passwords tera online gold was cracked. We are still investigating.

We don’t have evidence of credit card misuse at this time. Nonetheless you should watch your credit card activity and statements closely.

While we only know of a few forum accounts that have been compromised, all forum users will be required to change their passwords the next time they login. If you have used your Steam forum password on other accounts you should change those passwords as well.

We do not know of any compromised Steam accounts, so we are not planning to force a change of Steam account passwords (which are separate from forum passwords). However, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to change that as well, especially if it is the same as your Steam forum account password.

We will reopen the forums as soon as we can.

This recent event adds Steam to the long list of high profile companies that have been hacked or compromised. There was the incident with AMD’s promotional codes being stolen, Sony’s database, and now Steam.

Now that is a lot of new players. DC Universe has only been free for about a week now, and already they announced that they have one rs gold million new players in the game. The game features an open world with the choice to make your own super hero/villain, much like other games out there like Champions online. But this huge new wave of players is astonishing, but not all that surprising to me. The game is featured in Steam, and in the short time it went free, my buddy list lit up with people playing the game.

Like other games that have made the move, the game features a ‘freemium’ business model. This is where players can play free, but to get the full experience of the game, you need to pay monthly. Personally, when I went through their list for the different plans, it did turn me away from the game, so while the game does interest me, I am not counted as one of those one million players.

For For the last couple of days players in wakfu have been participating in wakfu Kwismas patch! Included in the christmas content is a national kwismas twee which has to be set up by the players, a special kwismas armor(The Father Kwismas set), kwismas knight noah food with various effects, kwismas achievements, kwismas emotes and more!! Just for logging in you’ll recieve 3 colors of fireworks, a plantable kwismas tree seed, and the Father Kwismas hat to start your hunt for the full set.

In the beginning area of each nation is a big, half decorated kwismas twee and a giant bucket. By donating the items required items, the kwismas twee will eventually be completely decorated and citizens of your nation will be able to take a present from the tree. The number of required items is very large so your nation is going to have to work together if you want to get it set up before the next patch! This is one of the achievements so if you don’t hurry, you’ll have to wait until next year.

Speaking of presents, there are presents scattered ALL OVER THE PLACE. The presents have a variety of items that can be randomly obtained, including kwismas foods, Father Kwismas set pieces, emotes, and kwismas decorations for your havenbag! Upon opening a present, another will instantly spawn somewhere else and with 20~50 in each area, no one will get swtor credits mad if you run around opening every present you see!

There are a large number of kwismas decorations to put in your havenbag. From kwismas trees, to giant presents, to miniature father kwismas garden gnomes. With the havenbag system, it’s hard not to get into the spirit of kwismas. I ended up taking the time to decorate my guild’s havenbag myself.

All monsters had some kwismas items added to their droplists too. You can find Sprigs of Holly and Chocolate coins used to craft some special holiday items. I even found some interesting candy that turned me into a Kwismas Bow Meow.

After running around all day i ran into my nation’s vice governor. we talked about running some kwismas events of our own and then i noticed that it was hailing around us. The weather system is pretty interesting. I figured that the weather was missing either rain or the temperature needed to be lowered, So i convinced the vice gov to change the weather a little bit. What’s Kwismas without snow afterall?

In all, the kwismas content was even funner than the Al Howin content. I hope future holidays get their own content updates tool

Well as promised each week I’m going to try and highlight a game or two.

This week all that really made my guild wars 2 gold mind sing “Jingle Bells” was when I took a look upon Phantasy Star Online 2.

I mean holly god, it’s the only game I’ve seen wehere the combat actually looks as good as the CGI trailer makes it look!

I’m super excited for this one and can’t wait to get my hands onto this gem.

Star Wars: The Old Republic finally came out about a month ago, after nearly five full years in development. Shotgunned by Bioware, Star Wars implements the constant trends of the company with Role-Playing features, rarely seen in an MMORPG. gw2 gold As a fan of Bioware, I had my doubts about this game. To be fair, Bioware isn’t known for patching game updates in a timely manner. I still have the glitch on the Leviathan in KoTOR where I can’t get past leaving the ship. My Dragon Age: Origin game still has its memory leak for multi-core systems, and the high-resolution patch for Dragon Age 2 came out much later than a fan-based mod of equal or greater value. My knee-jerk reaction for SWTOR was, “How in the world is Bioware going to keep regular maintenance on a game when they suck at patching offline RPGs?”

The answer was simply: They are learning knight noah through trial and error that the people who play MMO’s aren’t going to be casual when waiting around for something broken to be fixed.

The first patch gave me a mental image of Blizzard staff sitting back in their chairs, laughing their asses off.

As a raider, I can tell you that the first few patches were rough to get through. My guild took a fast track to getting to end-game, while still enjoying the story. Yes, you can actually do both. Sitting at end-game with broken raids and bosses wasn’t exactly fun. Many instances, if you could even get into them, had to be reset and re-cleared constantly. However, I wouldn’t let this deter anyone from playing the game.

First and foremost, you have to be a fan of Bioware games. Being a fan of Star Wars only isn’t going to necessarily get you though the first 20 levels without feeling frustrated. The choices made through the game impact your story, but there is a disconnection like most MMORPG’s from your character after reaching max level. The story ends with a giant ‘TO BE CONTINUED’, and there is no further content to truly explore. Some of the companions starts off with an interesting story, only to be abruptly ended. Raids consist of 8 and 16-man, though the same level of difficulty in either group size results in the same type of loot. The difficulty of the encounters between the two group sizes are night and day, however. If you’re looking for just gear, people have already started to pug 8-man raids. If you’re looking for a group effort and challenge, you should look into doing 16.

If you find yourself in need of PVP, there is plenty of that. With open world and instanced, there is PVP for days. The downside is that you are unable to choose which PVP you are wanting to go into. Unlike WoW, which has a random generator or a ‘chose your own adventure’, SWTOR sticks to surprises. Honestly, if comparing it to WoW on any level will be full of either pros or cons, depending on the type of gamer you are.

There are not yet any sort of mods or macros, through ironically the official SWTOR keyboard has macro keys. As to when/if these will be implemented, Bioware has yet to say. My guess is, there guess is as good as ours. Still, if you’re looking for something that has the heart of Mass Effect, with much less sex and cursing, SWTOR might be up your alley. If not, well, Mass Effect 3 drops in March anyway.

I am not one to claim that it’s one of the best, but it surely is different than most other MMORPGs. I’m talking about the crafting system of Mythos Global. blade and soul gold They made a video highlighting this special feature.

I’m sure crafters out there are very familiar with the usual crafting system. You hunt for materials, then click on the item that you want to craft once you already have all the materials. Although there are some variations like having to get recipes, or having enough experience to craft higher level gears, the mechanics are still the same. It’s still about hunting for materials, then choosing the item that you want to craft.

Although I’m not much of a crafter myself, I can say that Mythos Global, at least went a few steps further to make crafting more than just collecting and clicking. As seen in the video, it has a very intricate crafting system where there are crafting trees where you want to specialize. Skill points are awarded when you level up your crafting, and these skill points can be allocated to the crafting tree. Allocating points can help add to the success rate of the crafting, add additional attributes and elements, and a lot more. This makes crafting a lot more diverse since a single item can be crafted with different attributes.

Even the rank and grade of the item can be manipulated. The higher the rank and grade, the stronger it is. However, there is a trade off since success rate will be lower. This makes it even more challenging and exciting to craft very good gears that you desire. blade & soul gold

Furthermore, crafting can also be affected by gears and titles. There are gears and titles that increase the crafting success rate. As such, a crafter may opt to switch between battle and crafting titles and gears.

Again, I’m sure some may argue that this or that game has better crafting system. I wouldn’t know. What I’m saying is that Mythos Global provided a relatively decent crafting system that is different and more engaging than the usual.
